Modules
MTD Prodigy is the only off-the-shelf monitoring solution that's modularly custom-tailored to meet the needs of the most complex monitor and control environment. Here are several of the optional modules that can be integrated into your MTD Prodigy system:
Advanced Configuration Module
The core MTD Prodigy system starts with common presets and parameters built-in, however there are thousands of system parameters that can be customized using the Configuration Module. This module also includes the following advanced functions:
Root Cause Analysis, Determines the causal device failure using analysis of a rules-based sequence of events. Detects dataflow breakdown at any point in a critical path. As in a series of fallen dominos, this module tells you which domino caused the failure.
Content Locator, Quickly identifies where any piece of content is located within the facility or across the enterprise. Many methods for tracking media are employed including file name, file size, time recorded, media type and target locations. The Content Locator can also determine when expected material is missing or incomplete.

Compatibility Module
MTD Prodigy can be used as an extension to any legacy monitoring system that can read SNMP data. The Compatibility Module converts data gathered from its monitored devices into SNMP Enterprise Code data form so that other monitoring systems can take advantage of data from devices they themselves cannot capture directly.

SiteView Module
Brings together system information and analytics from multiple facilities into consolidated NOC displays. Provides at-a-glance status overview of an entire multi-location enterprise, while enabling powerful drill-down to specific locations, devices and alerts.

On-site Server
MTD Prodigy typically works in conjunction with MTD Systems' servers, located at our data centers; however a server can optionally be located behind your firewall to provide greater security, redundancy and speed. This on-site server can be used in conjunction with the external MTD Prodigy servers to enhance external connectivity beyond your firewall.

GVG Newsroom
Interfaces with all servers, RAIDS, routing, switches, and editors within the GVG newsroom. This module comprehensively keeps watch over all aspects of the news production system, working with the Root Cause and Content Locator modules to help predict potential failures. The module also archives all GVG Newsroom logs for additional analysis.

Harris, Burk and Statmon Transmitter Control
These modules display status, generate alerts and provide control for all monitored transmitters on a single display. Regional or national monitoring is provided in conjunction with the optional SiteView module. Modules can interface directly or through Burk, Harris or Statmon control systems.

Satellite Uplink
MTD Prodigy can effectively manage and control mission-critical head end operations by directly monitoring the facilities' encoders, encryption systems and modulators. In redundant configurations, this module can automatically manage fail-over, or assist in re-configuration of the workflow if manual intervention is detected. An absolutely essential module for all uplink facilities.
